I am James M. Dolliver NEH Distinguished Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Puget Sound.
I specialize in moral philosophy, action theory, and philosophy of artificial intelligence. I also have research interests in social and legal philosophy, Latin American and Latinx Philosophy, and environmental ethics. I am co-director (with Justin Tiehen) of the Dolliver NEH 2022-2025 project: Humanities and Artificial Intelligence and have received an NEH collaborative research grant (w/ Justin Tiehen) for our book project Robot Existentialism: Artificial Intelligence and the Limits of Rationality. |
